Pen and Ink Project Completed

The pen and ink project was a very enjoyable project and I am proud of the final product. It took awhile because of the many steps but it was worth it in the end. I found that the hardest part was the inking because of how careful you have to be and how tedious it is. The grid system is a great system that helps pencil part look much better and therefore make the whole project better. All in all, the project was fun.

Pen and Ink Project Progress

Here is the pen and ink project in progress with most of it done. I just need to finish inking the middle parts of the drawing and I need to erase all of the pencil marks.

Still Life Drawing

The still life drawing was very difficult to me. There were many drawings in the setting and I had a tough time blending them all together with shadings and shadows. The darker objects from my persective was the box, the bottle, and the teapot. I made an emphasis of making them very dark. I really tried to make sure the white cup in front was much lighter than everything else. In my opinion, the hardest object to draw was the coffee grinder because of all the parts that made up object.

Artist: Rahem Mohamed

Meadia of Work: Pencil

I chose this drawing because all of the objects are proportionate.

I would like to incorporate this because if nothing is proportionate, it throws the whole drawing off.

Leaf Drawing

Leaf 3

Leaf Drawing 3

I chose this drawing because of the shading. It is important to use shading if the leaf is against something at an angle.

I am going to incorporate the shading if it is needed.

Leaf 2

Leaf Drawing 2

Just like in the first leaf drawing, it is very realistic with a great amount of detail. The lines on each leaf  represent the actual ripples in almost all of the real leaves.

I am going to try to emulate the proportion of the leaf, it is very important to do that becuase if the proportion is off, the whole drawing is off.
